An early American J. & I.E. Moore ink bottle. Light yellow amber color. Some light overall wear, and a few fleabites to the sheared rim.

The domed type with offset neck was patented and introduced during 1865 by J. & I. E. Moore of Warren, Massachusetts. This type of bottle was very popular and was used extensively for over 30 years. They were primarily made for use in schoolhouses.

Sold for $314 in February 2025
