Georgian Period traveling set dating from around the year 1800. The outer surface is shagreen, which is shark or ray skin. The internal frame, hinge & fittings are silver. Sadly, most of the nib fittings are lost but the two inkwells are still in place. There is also a combination dip pen & slide pencil inside. The nib head is detachable via a screw thread. Inside the cover is a mirror.
