The central element of this inkwell is a meticulously rendered bird’s nest, constructed from textured bronze to realistically mimic twigs and other natural materials. One bird is perched on the edge of the nest. The second bird is nestled inside the nest. The top of the bronze nest is hinged, designed to open and reveal the inkwell within. The underside of the lid is marked “GESCHÜTZT”, indicating the design was registered or protected under Austrian copyright law.
