Deep, teal-colored small 12-sided umbrella ink bottle with a crude rolled lip and an open pontil scar on the bottom. It also has a slightly whittled surface. This bottle stands 2 ¼” tall and has no chips or damage. It is hand blown and dates around the 1850’s era.
A second example of an 8-sided umbrella ink bottle with a rolled lip and open pontil (2 ½” high) is shown. It sold for $300 in March 2024.
