Description
The inkstand features a naturalistic stag’s head cast in aluminum with a matte, silvery finish. The head is set against an oval, wreath-like base densely decorated with embossed oak leaves and acorns.
The stag’s antlers are positioned to serve as a functional pen rack, providing two points of contact for a quill or dip pen. The center of the base is open to hold a square, pressed-glass inkwell with beveled corners and a cross-hatched pattern on the underside. The inkwell is topped with a loose, circular aluminum lid that features a decorative border and a central monogram (appears to be “FB”), suggesting it may have been a personalized gift.
