This unusual inkwell is in the form of a stag’s head with prominent antlers, dressed in a collared shirt and a jockey-style cap adorned with a crown emblem. There are markings on the underside of the cap, but they are hard to decipher. This may have been an advertising piece or something from a fraternal group.

Two versions are pictured – (1) one made of brass and (2) one with a black stone base.

#1 Brass sold for $91 in March 2019

#2 Sold for $100 in October 2024
