Sheffield silverplate inkstand featuring a resting sheep at the center. On either side of the sheep, there are cranberry glass inkwells with polished silver fittings. The inkwells have stems that fit securely into the base. The silver base is framed with a bamboo form edging, providing an ornate and textured border. The crossed sides at the front form a pen rest. The underside is marked with the initials “J D & S” (James Deakin & Sons), a crown logo, and “EP” (electroplate), indicating its Sheffield silverplate origin.
