An elaborate silverplated inkstand with detailed repousse depictions of wild game (pheasant, hare, grouse, and deer) in woodland settings. Overlooking the wildlife scenes are Putti / Cherubs amid garlands of flowers. In the center is a heavy cut crystal inkwell. A large stag stands atop the inkwell’s lid. Attributed to the English silversmith Alfred Browett.
