A stag and a deer are at the center of this footed double inkstand with pen tray.  The inkwells with hinged covers are removeable. In front is an inscription “With best wishes from his sincere friend” with giver’s and receiver’s initials. The underside is stamped “Mappin & Webb, London, Sheffield, W 2337”.

Sold for $500 in December 2023
