The inkwell captures the anatomy and character of a horse. Made of bronze, it was cold-painted – the paint was applied after the bronze was cast and finished. This technique allows for a polychrome (multi-colored) effect. The horse’s head is fitted with a bridle and bit which forms a pen holder.
