This hunting-themed inkwell features the head of a long-horned animal (Ibex, Mountain Goat, Chamois?) on both ends of this Russian silver inkwell supported on ball feet. The piece is hallmarked “84” (meaning .875 silver). I’m assuming 1878 is the date the piece was made.
