Salt glaze, six-sided teakettle ink bottle. Each panel is embossed with one word: “Josiah, Jonsons, Japan, Writing, Fluid, London”.
An example of a “syphon” inkwell where the level of ink is always the same. Even when full, the level of ink will never rise over the spout because of atmospheric pressure.
