This inkstand features a playful cat interacting with a ball. The cat is positioned on its hind legs, with one paw raised as if batting at the ball. The cat and ball are situated next to a tree stump, which serves as the inkwell. The top of the stump is hinged, allowing it to open and reveal the inkwell inside. The inkstand is made of spelter metal, which is a zinc alloy, and it has a bronze finish. The underside of the inkstand is marked “AUSTRIA”.
