This inkstand holds a clear glass inkwell and a bronze sculpture of a bird, a parrot or cockatoo, perched on an integrated stand. The inkwell is made of clear glass, molded with facets. It has a rounded or slightly bulbous body and is fitted with a domed lid.
Rising from the circular base of the inkstand is a slender bronze perch. Atop this perch sits the detailed bronze figure of the bird. The bird is depicted with carefully rendered plumage, a curved beak characteristic of parrots or cockatoos, and a crested head.
