This inkstand features a gilt bronze lizard with glass eyes, intricately detailed with lifelike features, including its claws and scales. The lizard wraps around the base of an inkwell, which is made of clear glass and has a spherical shape and a crown-like hinged lid. Claw-like supports hold the glass inkwell in place.
