This cast iron inkstand features a double-headed eagle insignia, which is a prominent symbol in Russian heraldry. This emblem, with the eagle holding a scepter and an orb cross, is associated with the Coat of Arms of Russia, symbolizing imperial power and authority. The lid to the inkwell is hinged (insert missing). A pen rack completes the inkstand.
