This inkwell features a sculpted horse’s head, mounted on an oval alabaster base. The horse’s head is crafted from spelter metal, and showcases intricate details such as expressive eyes, finely carved ears, and a textured mane. The eyes have a glossy finish. The upper part of the horse’s head is hinged, allowing it to open and reveal the inkwell inside (missing insert).
