A horse, standing on all four legs, its mane and tail finely detailed, is mounted on a flat wooden base, seemingly carved from the same piece of wood. Adjacent to the horse’s front legs is a glass inkwell set in the wood. The inkwell’s cork top is decorated with a schilling coin bearing an edelweiss design. Attributed to Hans Huggler (1877-1947) of Brienz Switzerland.
