This inkstand features a donkey pulling a two-wheeled cart, all mounted on a plinth of alabaster. The cart holds a glass inkwell with a faceted glass lid. The inkwell is set in a woven-style holder that is part of the cart. The entire piece is mounted on a rectangular alabaster base.
