Silverplate inkstand, raised on four angled feet, holds two removable cut crystal ink pots with hinged lids. In the center, on an intricately decorated base, stands a nicely cast hound dog who wears a collar. A frontal pen holder completes the piece. The underside bears the maker’s mark of the silversmith: “Spiller 204 Upper St Islington 11292”.
