This Art Nouveau double inkstand features a dog encountering a mouse. In a playful stance, the dog leans forward for a closer look. The inkstands flowing lines exemplify the Art Nouveau style. The hinged lids covering the inkwells have flower finials. The piece is unmarked though it may have been designed by Jules Moigniez.
