This charming desk accessory is an Austrian cold-painted bronze figural inkwell crafted in the form of a pineapple.
Description
- Body & Lid: The central bulb of the pineapple features a hinged lid near the upper shoulder. The exterior is decorated with realistic, raised scale textures finished in rich gilt/gold paint.
- Leaves & Base: The top crown of leaves and the flaring leafy base serve as both decorative accents and functional stabilizing feet. They are finished in a contrasting dark metallic/verdigris cold-painted enamel.
- Interior: Opening the lid reveals a dark-finished bronze interior containing a removable porcelain insert.
- Underside: The bottom rim exhibits an incised inventory/model number (1093) and a central square nut securing the cast components.
