This inkwell is carved in the form of a seated dog. The head is hinged and opens to reveal a porcelain insert. The wood is carved and finished to resemble the texture of a dog’s coat and facial features. This dog most closely resembles a bulldog. It has a stocky build, broad head, short snout, and folded ears.
