This is a brass inkstand featuring a bulldog figure and an integrated inkwell.
- Material and Patina: The inkstand is crafted entirely from brass. The base is a rounded, elevated platform. There is a pen holder in the front.
- Bulldog Figure: Dominating the left side of the inkstand’s base is a well-modeled brass bulldog. The dog is depicted in a seated pose, with its characteristic stocky build, wrinkled snout, and alert expression.
- Inkwell: To the right of the bulldog, the inkstand holds a square glass inkwell. It is topped with a round brass lid. The glass inkwell sits in a specifically designed recess on the brass base, held in place by small brass tabs.
