A cold painted bronze kingfisher (its hinged head opens to the inkwell) rests on a stem of iris. There is one full iris bloom (amazing detail) and two buds. The piece is marked “GESCHUTZ” on the base of the branch. Under the tail of the kingfisher are impressed “895”, “GESCHUTZT”, and “DEPOSE”.
