A parrot with wings spread is perched on a stand with multiple rungs. Along with the parrot on the topmost rung is a small candleholder. At the base are the heads and front legs of two horses as if they are emerging from water. The inkwell (missing insert and with a broken hinge) is in the middle. The rungs on the parrot’s stand were possibly intended to hold jewelry.
