Two cylindrical inkwells are attached to a flat base with a pen channel. Each inkwell has a “roll-back” dome cover that is spring-loaded. Push on the cover’s tab and the lid easily recedes back into the inkwell with the tab acting as a stop plate. Pull on the tab and the spring mechanism works so the cover glides easily into its closed position. Art Deco influence.
