Blue Tea Kettle Type Ink Bottle – Repaired

Categories Ink Bottle, Mechanical - Pump / Siphon
Material Glass
Markings Unmarked
Manufacturer Undetermined
Origin England

Unusual blue tea kettle type inkbottle with a manufacturing error in the form of a glass “kick up” on the side. The front was damaged and has been cut out along with ⅜” of the base and repaired with colored epoxy resin. The repair is visible by looking down the neck of the bottle, but displays well with a cork in place. The repair has been hidden on the underside with “stick on” blue felt. The bottle has also had a flake polished out on the “crease” of the fold with a burst air bubble still present.
