This is a hand-blown, solid black glass (nontransparent), 8-sided paneled ink bottle with a solid rod pontil scar on the bottom. It has a smooth lip and a small ring around its neck. It dates to the 1840’s era. Maker unknown – possibly French.

Sold for $250 in October 2025
