This bronze double inkstand features the sculpted heads of a man and a bulldog side by side. Their heads are hinged and open to access the inkwells. Both heads are enveloped in a draped cloth bib as if they were ready to share a meal. The bib extends forward serving as a pen rest. Two examples are shown: one plain bronze, the other cold painted.
