This novelty inkwell used while traveling is in the shape of a miniature watering can. The top lifts off to reveal the inkwell. There are holes for pen and pencil which would pull apart into two pieces for storage. The pen and pencil are shown in the second (green) example.

The third example of a miniature watering can, like the others, has a perforated spout like a proper can. The lid pulls off and inside is the glass ink bottle with a screw on top. On either side of the bottle are two pieces of a dip pen that fit together. The handle of the pen is telescopic and extends backward to form a longer pen. The pen nib fits into the holder and can be replaced at will.

Estimated value: $150

Example #3 sold for $335 in October 2025
