French Empire style (19th Century) bronze dore inkstand with an eagle perched on a rock, spreading its wings. The lid for the inkwell has an acorn finial. The piece is signed A. Marionnet.
Albert Marionnet (1852-1910) produced some of the most valued Art Nouveau bronze. His suite of pieces featuring an eagle are especially sought after.
