This inkstand is cast from brass and features a rectangular base with four decorative paw feet. The main figural element is a sculpted scene of a jockey on horseback leaping over a fence, a motif celebrating the popular sport of horse racing or equestrian jumping. The inkstand holds two cut glass inkwells, each with a matching lid.
