The inkwell, made with sheet steel, is covered in brown crocodile skin. The inkwell features a spring-loaded cover with a thumb-release button and a side safety catch. When you press the button, the lid snaps open. The hinged lid reveals the original, removable glass ink bottle, which is intact and fits snugly inside the case.
