This ink bottle is a deep blue-green in color and is sometimes referred to as a “boat” type ink bottle. BIMAL “Blown In Mold, Applied Lip.” This term refers to a specific method of bottle-making where the bottle is blown into a mold and then an additional layer of glass is applied to the lip of the bottle. This technique was commonly used before the advent of fully automated bottle-making machines. The bottle has two pen ledges.
