This gilt bronze inkstand features a detailed sculpture of a seated dog – a German Shepherd or similar breed, perched on a rock formation base. The dog is sitting with its ears perked up with an attentive expression. The base is designed to resemble rocky terrain. On the right side of the base, there’s a lid that opens to reveal the inkwell, which is integrated into the rock formation.
