Old wooden inkwell shaped like a cat sitting in a tattered shoe, The head is hinged and lifts to reveal a glass ink bottle. Cat has riveting yellow glass eyes. The word FONTAINEBLEAU is impressed on the bottom. Was this piece made in Germany for export to France?
