The central feature of this inkstand is a bird, likely a marsh heron or stork, standing gracefully among tall reeds. The inkwells are designed to resemble lotus flowers, complete with hinged lids. At the front of the inkstand, there is a pen tray. It is marked “G RD 153” on the underside.
