This inkwell in the form of an eagle’s head captures the fierce expression of the bird – the beak is sharply defined, and the eyes are deeply set. There is a lifelike texture to the eagle’s feathering.
Two examples are pictured – one with an extended wing which serves as a pen tray.
Example #1 (head only) – 2 ½” diameter; 3” high. Sold for $92 in July 2024. Sold for $77 in September 2024
Example #2 (with wing) – marked “B & H 7063” (Bradley & Hubbard). 9” x 5 ½” x 3 ½” high. Sold for $155 in December 2022
