This double inkstand features a bird with glass eyes perched on a branch. She holds a twig in her mouth. Below her there appears to be a mother of pearl nest framed with feathers, branches, berries, and ivy. On either side of the bird, there are faceted crystal inkwells with ivy and berry finials on the lids.
