Bronze and slate figural inkstand featuring a monkey smoking a pipe while immersed in a water-filled stove pot. The inkwell is in the pot under the monkey figure which is hinged in the back. Around the pot are trousers, boots, and a tray with drink. All is mounted on a black slate plinth with paw feet.
