A figural inkwell in the form of a begging Skye Terrier modeled on “Greyfriar’s Bobby”. This charming fellow has glass eyes and is cast with fine detail to face and fur. His head hinges backwards to reveal the inkwell. He stands on a stepped circular brass base. Cast metal with brass finish.
A second example is shown – a bronze begging terrier dog on a base with a lift-up lid to access a storage compartment. (This is from the estate of Beverly Hayes who was co-founder of the Skye Terrier Club of Southern California).
