These Victorian inkwells are a novelty. Perhaps they were for a child or even designed for a dollhouse. These miniature versions have all the detail of their full-sized equivalents. Both date to around 1890.

Miniature Skye Terrier head inkwell, made of spelter metal, has glass eyes, sports a bow tie and is mounted on an ebonized wood base.

Miniature Pug’s head inkwell, made of spelter metal, has glass eyes, a collar with buckle and is mounted on an ebonized wood base.
