Barrel Ink Bottle

Measuring 1 ¾” at the base; 2” center width; 2” high

This barrel-shaped ink bottle has three horizontal ribs along the base and four ribs along the top. Made of clear flint glass in a two part mold, having a solid glass pontil. Its disc-type opening is similar to the Keene geometric and Coventry ink bottles of the 1830’s.

Sold for $167 in November 2023
