Sterling silver gilt lock-down traveling faceted glass inkwell with a decorated silver mounted top and hinged lid. It has a silver threaded screw key with interior leather seal.
The inkwell has a full set of English silver hallmarks, which include the silver duty stamp of King George the Third. The silversmith’s initials at “T.D.” (Thomas Dicks 1798 – 1822).
