Hand-carved Black Forest Inkstand with Birds

At the center of this hand-carved Black Forest Inkstand are two birds around a nest. This section lifts off to access a storage compartment. On either side is a glass inkwell with leaf-shaped lids with a berry finial. The front of the inkstand, complementing the avian and nature theme, is carved as woven branches with florals and serves to hold pens.
