The base of the inkwell is ornately decorated. The underside is marked “Made in France” and numbered 2006. The piece is signed “A. Ouveb” on the backside, near the helmet. Engraved on the front pen channel are the words “Souvenir Je Me Souviens,” which translates “I remember”.
