Wooden Inkstand with Detailed Carvings

This wooden inkstand features intricate carvings of leaves and flowers on all four sides. The carvings are detailed and elaborate, suggesting a high level of skill and artistry. The wood is dark, possibly rosewood. The carvings cleverly conceal a pull-out drawer in the front, which can be accessed using a “rosette” that serves as the drawer’s handle. On top of the inkstand, there is a carrying handle in the form of a wreath. Flanking the wreath are two cut glass inkwells.
