This Art Nouveau inkwell’s base features a fluid, wave-like design with raised, swirling patterns that resemble water ripples. On one side, there’s a figure of a woman with long, flowing hair that seamlessly blends into the background, embodying the Art Nouveau aesthetic of integrating human figures with nature. The lid, which sits on a peg and swivels open, is ornately decorated with floral and leaf motifs. The piece is numbered on the underside #3448.
