This Kayserzinn inkstand of Art Nouveau design features a contemplative woman sitting on a bench, holding a letter in her hand, with the envelope placed beside her. The piece is made of spelter metal, also known as white metal, with a bronze finish.

Kayserzinn was the brand name for the pewterware produced by J.P. Kayser & Sohn AG, a German company renowned for its high-quality Art Nouveau pieces. The company was founded by Johann Peter Kayser in 1862 in Krefeld, Germany. Under the artistic direction of Engelbert Kayser, the firm became known for its innovative designs and exceptional craftsmanship.
